Well, almost. Its intention is a week long seminar of course, but I have never seen anything like this.
1. Breakfast buffet - buffet is always nice
2. Second breakfast - some stuff from breakfast with an addition of little sweet and hearty dishes
3. Lunch buffet - yet again another buffet, I‘m starting to see a pattern
4. Cake buffet - I kid you not.
5. Diner - yet another warm meal and you guessed right: it‘s another buffet.
Aaaaand if you really wanted to, the bistro is open until 10pm on the typical arrival days, so you could get a breakfast before sleep.
Truth to be told, it‘s not like there is a ton of food, even if it‘s a buffet. You see some people with bigger portions, but the frequency and amount of food related breaks makes normal people skip some or or go for smaller plates.
Yet, although I was on a diet I‘m totally in on regaining this week. It‘s too alluring to let this opportunity pass. To round this up, I get snacks later to fill me up.
It‘s day 3 and I effectively went from intermittent fasting with skipping breakfast, two slices of bread for lunch and a small dinner in the evening to two breakfasts, two slices of cakes, two warm meals including desserts and forcefeed myself some snacks in the hotel room.
The seminar instructor said, it‘s probably a tradition rooted in the 50s where people needed to do these seminars about work council in their free time and a lot of them were factory workers, doing hard labor, so at least they should be „well taken care of“.
Kudos to them. If you want, you can visit a nearby therme and let your swollen belly be warm and afloat.
How do I continue after this? Idk, this is a perfect setup for a massive regain and beyond, but not sure…
That being said, I can‘t sleep and go for the last snacks so I have a reason to restock tomorrow.
